Crisp and golden, these cookies melt in your mouth and pair perfectly with the velvety praline filling. Ingredients

  • 250 g butter, at room temperature
  • 90 g seed oil
  • 1 egg, at room temperature
  • 130 g icing sugar
  • 600 g all - purpose flour
  • 70 g corn flour/ corn starch
  • 3 - 4 g baking powder
  • Drops of vanilla or butter - vanilla extract

For the filling:

  • Praline spread

For decoration:

  • Icing sugar
  • Edible decorations

How to

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add the egg, then the vanilla extract and seed oil.
  3. Sift the flour, corn flour/ corn starch and baking powder and add them gradually.
  4. Continue beating until all ingredients are incorporated.
  5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 min.
  6. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 0.4 - 0.5 cm and cut the cookies with a cookie cutter of your choice.
  7. Transfer to a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven (set to fan) at 355°F - 180°C for 15-20 min (depending on the intensity of the oven).
  8. Let them cool on a wire rack.
  9. Add the praline spread to half of the cookies and after dusting the rest of the cookies with icing sugar, close the filling.
  10. Optionally decorate with edible ingredients.
  11. Holiday butter cookies with praline filling are ready for us and for those we love!!!!

Note from Greek jar:

To make my cookies, I used a 6 cm cookie cutter and with the ingredients above, I made 30 filled cookies, just what I needed. Adjust the ingredients and cookie cutter size to your preference and make your very own unique cookies!
