In Greece we have a love affair with cheese pies! This time we take some of their basic ingredients, give them a round shape and make multigrain cheese balls! Ingredients
- 300 g self-rising flour
 - 140 g whole wheat flour
 - 200 g yogurt
 - 200 g olive oil
 - 1/2 tsp salt
 - 1/3 tsp pepper
 - 2 tbsp poppy seed
 - 2 tbsp flaxseed
 - 1 tbsp sesame seeds
 - 1 tbsp black sesame seeds
 
  
For the filling
- 100 g cream cheese
 - 200 g feta cheese
 - 1 egg
 - 2 - 3 tbsp chopped mint
 - 1/2 - 1 tsp freshly ground pepper
 - Salt (optional, it depends on the type of cheese we will use)
 
  
For brushing
- Milk
 - Poppy seed
 
How to
- Mix the yogurt, olive oil, seeds, salt and pepper and gradually add the flour.
 - Knead until the ingredients are incorporated.
 - Refrigerate the dough for one hour.
 - Make the filling by mixing in a bowl the egg , cream cheese, feta cheese in crumbles, mint and freshly ground pepper.
 - Make 40 g balls , roll each of them into a sheet and add the filling.
 - Close the filling, giving them a round shape and place them on a baking tray with parchment paper.
 - Brush them with milk, sprinkle with poppy seeds and bake in a pre-heated oven (set to fan) at 390 oF - 200 oC for about 20 - 25 min.
 - Allow to cool on a wire rack and enjoy. They are just as delicious warm or cold!
